Sheet-metal trays for tartelette production must be cleaned each time a batch is baked. Previously, these trays had to be laboriously cleaned by hand outside the production line. The objective is to optimise this process by integrating a Hobart washing machine directly into the production line for automatic loading, cleaning and removal of the trays.

Solution

A customer-specific handling system was developed to enable the washing machine to be fed with trays directly from the conveyor belt in two lanes. The trays are automatically fed through the washing machine propped up, removed after the washing process and placed back on the conveyor belt again.

Customer benefits

Thanks to the new fully automatic in-line cleaning arrangement for the trays, time-consuming manual cleaning processes are no longer required. This makes it possible to produce higher-quality baked goods and eliminate waste.
