Assembly and testing automation for plastic modules
Development and manufacture of fully automated assembly and testing automation, including silicone parts
Assignment
Development of an assembly system for plastic modules, including silicone parts The assembled modules are to be checked for pressure and flow fully automatically. The integration of marking laser automation enables efficient labelling options. It must be possible to output the end products in blister and bag packaging.
Solution
The assembly system is characterised by intelligent networking of different systems, including three AnyFeeder separating units, two blister separating units with a tray lift, high-precision pressure and flow measuring technology and Stäubli SCARA and six-axis robots. A powerful Trumpf marking laser for the precise labelling and traceability of parts is also integrated. The packaging area is being replaced with tubular bag and blister packaging options, including a buffer area. This well-thought-out system provides efficiency and flexibility in terms of packaging options to meet individual requirements.
Customer benefits
The implementation of this innovative system demonstrates significant progress in the replacement of slow, manual manufacturing processes. The high autonomy of the system enables a smooth process and minimises human intervention. One particular strength lies in the easy adaptability of automation to product changes, which guarantees flexibility and adaptability in production. The use of reproducible manufacturing and testing processes also guarantees consistent end product quality.
