Freymatic AG are a manufacturer of shot peening installations for the aerospace industry developed and manufactured under the product brand Roxor. It was not possible to make the tight deadline for this demanding project with the company’s resources alone. That’s why experienced designers from GRITEC were requested on short notice.

Solution

Within 10 days, the project could be kicked off with two designers. GRITEC employees are familiar with integrating themselves into the systems and way of working of the customer’s team in very short order. This reduces the initial effort to a minimum. In a very short amount of time, the designers modelled various different detailed solutions, developed a transport system with drive dimensions and created the production drawings for it. A majority of the work was handled remotely, and design discussions were held directly on site at Freymatic’s facility in Domat/Ems, Switzerland where necessary. As the project was being carried out, there was a need to calculate a part for suspended loads which was critical to safety. GRITEC in-house employees were able to step in to assist the calculation specialists straight away. This eliminated the need for additional external coordination effort for Freymatic AG.
