Assignment

A facility for avatar-based, collaborative cooperation on virtual models, 3D models including sectional views and interaction with individual model parts for project meetings and reviews was sought for global cooperation.

Solution

Thanks to outstanding cross-departmental cooperation from the mechanical CAD model to the digitalisation of a model in virtual space by the software developers, a streamlined and future-oriented solution which satisfies all customer requests and offers significant added value could be created. In addition to the Microsoft HoloLens glasses, the mixed reality platform from Sphere Technology was also used.

Customer benefits

This solution makes it possible to conduct reviews, project meetings and product demonstrations involving project teams and customers across the globe in a virtual meeting room. Each participant can interact with the model and move freely. Even head, eye and hand movements, as well as gestures and visual contact, are possible. The best part about it is that all this occurs without any unnecessary travel – in 3D and without having to leave your workplace.
