Assignment

The objective is to develop a system based on existing processes which is capable of providing all products from the existing assortment – featuring different diameters and lengths – with an annealing marking around the entire circumference.

Solution

A fully redeveloped system was implemented by GRITEC which enables marking of the range of products based on a rotary table and two redundant marking stations. The products are handled by a SCARA robot. The system was designed to be purely electrical based on servo technology without the use of pneumatic components. Process monitoring is ensured using four vision systems and the system software developed by GRITEC.

Customer benefits

The customer can increase production capacity for the relevant product range and benefits from increased production autonomy. Thanks to the implemented software, all orders – from loading to removal by the operator – are automated, closely monitored throughout the entire process and logged at the end. As a result of direct connection to the order management system of the customer, they can also benefit from the digitalisation of important processes.
