Development and manufacture of an assembly and testing system for a module
Assignment
A new system for a product is to be developed for the customer. This product was previously produced on a system for multiple different products. Leak testing in the range of only a few pascals is a particular challenge here.
Solution
The products are passed from station to station by a pallet circulating system. The following processes are carried out here: vision plausibility checking of the manual work steps (presence and colour of parts), screwing, checking for leaks, screwing together of threaded inserts and laser labelling. Existing modules of the customer were integrated in the software.
Customer benefits
The system now only produces the defined type in large quantities. The system is prepared for other products of this family so that any size changes can be handled by the system during ramp-up in future. The system is fully integrated into the customer’s system.
